Started by Søren Nielsen Skyt in Herning, Denmark, S.N.S Herning has spent generations building knitwear for fishermen, sailors and anyone else who needs real warmth – most famously the Fisherman sweater, based on a design from 1919 and knitted in the brand's signature bubble stitch, which traps air for insulation without adding weight.

Each season's collection is drawn from the factory archive, either reproduced exactly or reworked from original samples, and knitted in pure virgin wool on vintage German Stoll machines. Every knit is signed off by the artisan who made it.
